This organization is present in every living organism, from simple to complex. These levels of organization are cells, tissues and organs. Cells are fundamental units of life. You can have one or many cells, like bacteria. There are many structures and molecules in cells that allow them to carry out their specific functions. A group of cells called tissue is specialized in performing a particular function. Muscle tissue, for example, is made up of cells that can contract in order to permit movement.
