Compare and Contrast ones own personal development and projected future development across the developmental life stages. For this Assignment, you will create a Developmental Timeline PowerPoint slide presentation. During this course you have been studying theory and concepts from developmental psychology using books, articles, websites, case studies, and observations of others. During this assignment you will use yourself as the subject of study. You will draw and illustrate using images and text a PowerPoint presentation timeline of your own developmental milestones up to your current age and beyond. You will include all the stages of development: (infancy, early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, early adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood). For stages you have yet to reach, like middle and late adulthood, you will need to use the book material to guess what direction you may take based on the information and how others develop during those stages.

Writing Requirements and Guidelines Your Assignment should include: Cover slide o Provide your name, title of assignment, course and unit number, and date Body slides o 2 slides for each stage of your development (infancy, early childhood, middle childhood, adolescence, early adulthood, middle adulthood, and late adulthood) One slide for physical and cognitive development and one slide for social and emotional development for each stage. o Each stage should have the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social factors contributing to your own development, give examples, use images (your own or other images such as from Google images) o Each stage should have at least three developmental or psychological key terms, concepts, or theories from the text and how they relate to your own development (use BOLD for the concepts). You can find key concepts bolded and in breakout boxes throughout the textbook. Major theories are in chapter 1 and other theories are found throughout the book. o Include one slide about culture, ethnicity, gender, and/or diversity as it applies to your development. Conclusion slide o One slide that summarizes the important ideas you got from reviewing your own development. o Describe what you learned and how you will use the information in the future as it relates to your personal and professional life.
Reference list slide o One slide with your sources listed (APA style not important due to PowerPoint formatting issues) Center the word References at the top of the slide. o You must use at least one source (the textbook). Assignment Guidelines 17-20 PowerPoint slides (only PowerPoint will be accepted, Google Docs has acceptable slides, make sure you export as PowerPoint or PDF) Use images (either your own or other images) Written adhering to the guidelines of Standard American English If you need assistance with writing or using PowerPoint, visit the SCTCC Center for Academic Success (CAS) in room 1-122 Submitting your Assignment Write your assignment using PowerPoint.
