Double Consciousness in the Works of Du Bois and Dunbar

Paul Lawrence Dunbar’s poems powerfully illustrate Du Bois’s hypothesis of double consciousness. This essay examines the relationship between Paul Dunbar’s poetry and Du Bois’s concept of double consciousness. (Dunbar para 1).
