Here, we present an examination of the genomic neighborhood of putative orthologs in Drosophila erecta. Drosophila erecta, a species of fruit fly, is an important model organism for genetic studies. Its genome has been sequenced and annotated, providing a detailed picture of its genetic makeup. Through the use of bioinformatics tools, researchers have identified numerous homologous proteins in D. erecta and other species.
