The length requirement for this assignment is between 750 and 1,000 words, not including footnotes and the bibliography. You will be expected to follow University guidelines with regards to citation systems. Once again, the purpose of this assignment is  to build generative connections between an assigned text of your choosing from class and other course content (see list above for clarification). This does not mean you cannot tie in content from outside of this course, but the primary focus of your attention in your ‘argument(s)’ must be made in relation to course content. As this is an arts course, It is allowed to submit creative responses to the assigned text of their choosing. What this means is,you can make a film, audio piece, text piece, grouping of photos, or painting that directly responds to the assigned text of their choosing. If you choose to do so, you may responsible for documenting the artwork clearly (if it’s a painting, photograph it in good lighting settings and hung on a blank wall with few distractions) and submitting that documentation alongside the writing.
