Discuss the difference between immigrants from Mexico and Cuba and how those differences gave Cubans easier entrance into the US. Use Chapter 6 and the article by Santiago Maldonado to help your understanding.
 
Question 5: Read the 1984 article in Henry Bischoff, Illegal Immigration Provides a Net Gain for the National Economy. Compare what the article stated with the following text
pages: 156-158, 180 and 191, and write your thoughts about the article & the pages.
 
Question 6: The article: Immigrant Challenges in the Twenty-First Century, discusses the demographic makeup of the United States. What did you learn and what do you think about how the Census Bureau characterizes the different ethnic & racial groups in the US in the 2000 census? What do all the statistics tell you about the population of the United States.
 
Question 7: Read the New York Times Article, August 14, 2021, Allowing for Diversity and It Shows in Data. What does it say and what do you think after you have read the text & everything else?
