A variety of cyber security threats can cause personal and financial harm. These attacks can result in financial information being lost or stolen, as well as personal and bank information being compromised. They also can access sensitive information, disrupt everyday activities, and destroy vital infrastructure. As they can compromise victims’ personal safety or security, cyber attacks could also lead to psychological or physical harm (Kashyap 2020). A cyberattack can even cause death, or violence, in some extreme instances (Cain (2015)  Cyber attacks can also lead to a loss of trust when it comes to online communication. Cyber threats can make it difficult for people to conduct online transactions or to access important resources. Disruption to communication systems (email services and messaging) or business systems can also cause disruption.  Cyberattacks can cause people to feel insecure, fearful, or stressed (Khan, 202). This can lead to a sense of insecurity, fear or helplessness. They may not even know the motives or who behind it. It can lead to physical and psychological distress as well as increased financial loss due to the low trust level in online services.   The cyber-security attacks may have serious consequences for people.
