Excessive threading can have serious consequences for a Linux system. It creates excessive work and leads to context switching (Ontvanger 2021). Although it’s possible to increase thread counts within processes it’s not recommended, if you want to preserve a reasonable response-time it may be worth it.  The answer to the question is ultimately no, because increasing the number of threads runs the risk of exceeding the system’s optimal limit and thus adversely impacts response time (Vaughan-Nichols, 2015).
