IoT applications and chips 

The Internet of Things (IoT), has changed the way people interact with their environment. It has also opened up the possibility of automation and interconnected services integration. There are three major IoT chips on the market: ESP8266, Wemos D1 Mini (Shah 2020), Arduino Uno Machawe and Phadke (2018), and Raspberry Pi Zero Maniar et.al. (2015).    The ESP8266 wireless device, which has integrated Wi-Fi is used widely for real-time monitoring and control of applications, such as home security system monitoring, alarm systems for automated home surveillance, and alert/alarm system (Maniar et. al. 2015). Arduino Uno, a microcontroller device for prototyping and quick assembly of applications like home automation or motion sensing devices (Machawe und Phadke (2018). Raspberry Pi Zero, a flexible computing device, has low power requirements and high storage. This makes it great for building multimedia networks, wall displays, and interactive kiosks (Shah 2020).  These IoT chips are a powerful platform to integrate services and automate. There are three popular IoT chip options available on the market: the Raspberry Pi Zero, Arduino Uno, and the ESP8266.
