Stuart (2016) provides several interventions to combat stigmatization of mental health. First, social tolerance may be improved by raising awareness through participation in events to increase the community’s knowledge of mental health-related topics. To communicate health information to broad audiences, programs like literacy campaigns or mass media campaigns may be useful. It is possible to reduce stigma by increasing awareness about mental disorders, including warning signs and symptoms as well as management strategies and information on how to get help.
