Public health research on “Climate Change”

The Policy Health Question: While climate change affects everyone, it is also a health concern that impacts all people. However, certain groups are more vulnerable to the effects of extreme weather, pollution and other risks associated with climate changes. In the United States, people of color, the elderly, children, and people living in poverty are the most vulnerable to climate change-related health threats (Williams & White,2020). Additionally, those who live near extreme weather conditions and areas where there is high air pollution will be more vulnerable. Problem Statement: In the United States, climate change is leading to increasingly frequent and severe extreme weather events, air pollution, and other health risks that are disproportionately affecting people of color, the elderly, children, and people living in poverty, as well as people living in coastal areas, in areas prone to extreme weather events, and in areas with high levels of air pollution (Williams & White,2020). They are especially vulnerable to climate change-related risks and need to be provided with more health services and promotion services. Cont…
