Rough Thesis, and Outline

For example:What idea does “Uncle Rock” develop about the immigrant experience in terms of the American Dream?–Jot down any thoughts that occur to you–You could put some key words like conformity, stereotypical family, acceptance, identity–You should quote passages that you think you might want to use to  discuss some of the topics above2. Write a rough version of your thesis and and put it on the introduction outline sheet. You’ll worry about the rest of the introduction for next week.3. Fill out the body paragraph outline sheet for your first paragraph. I t may be rough and in note form at this point. (However, the more you do early on, the easier the later stages will be).  You can change your mind about what story you write about–but be careful.
