Wireless Standard  IEEE 802.11 is a global wireless standard for local networks operating in the 2.4 GHz radio frequency. This frequency is responsible for Wi-Fi’s rapid growth over the past few decades. Many popular wireless protocols, such as 802.11b and 802.11g use it for communication. The IEEE standard covers three channels: ISM and UNII. It also includes IEEE 802.11b/g/n. The 2.4GHz frequency offers speeds up to 11Mbps, which has helped Wi-Fi become a popular choice for both office and home networks (MacAdvisor 2015).  IEEE 802.11b protocol is the most widely used, but it only offers a few security features, such as WEP and WPA2. An improved 802.11b protocol version, the 802.11g protocol can increase transfer speeds up to 54Mbps. It also allows for two extra channels within the 2.4 GHz frequency band. With speeds as high as 300 Mbps, the 802.11n standard represents the latest version. This standard also has a wider range thanks to the addition of multiple input multiple output (MIMO), technology (Lancaster 2021).  IEEE 802.11 has many uses.
