The Role of White Blood Cells in the Human Body and Their Percentage in Blood

White blood cells (WBCs) are an essential component of the human body’s immune system and play a vital role in protecting against infection and disease. WBCs are also known as leukocytes and are made up of different types of lymphocytes, monocytes, and granulocytes, which are all involved in different aspects of the body’s immune response.
