Visual Thinking: Effects on understanding 

Visual understanding can be described as the art of visualizing, analysing, and internalizing images or visuals, in order to find patterns, relationships, trends, or other data. Visual thinking is a way to stimulate complex conversations and find innovative solutions. To achieve visual understanding there are several steps.   First, identify your problem. This step is called visual thinking. It helps you understand the context and problem. Second, gather data relevant to the issue or goal. This could include research and statistics. It allows a person determine the parameters and criteria that are necessary to create the visuals. A third step involves creating a visual representation, such as an image, graph or chart, of the data. This allows the data to be seen differently, which may lead to better understanding, clarity, and insights. Fourth step: Interpret and analyze results. This includes looking for patterns, relationships, or correlations in the data. The fifth step, based on the data and analysis results, is to come up with possible solutions or strategies. A sixth step involves drawing conclusions and making decisions based upon the analysis. (Balogun et al. 2020; Zhang et al. 2018)  Finally, continuous improvement is essential in visual thinking to ensure that the data gleaned from visuals remains current and accurate.
