Software Execution Modells
Software execution models can be used to describe how software acts when run. The three most common types of software execution models are procedural, multithreading and event-driven (Kurbanov (2015); Alkodari & Lobben 2021). A set of instructions is called procedural programming. These instructions are kept in the correct order and then act upon stored data. Multithreading refers to a system where several tasks can be performed simultaneously, and the tasks are divided into multiple threads. Event-driven programming is where program code executes in response to external or internal events. The software depends on hardware as well as software components to perform tasks in all these cases. The project and desired outcome will determine the execution model that a programmer selects. Ultimately, the goal is to develop efficient and effective software that meets the user’s needs. References Kurbanov, A. (2015). (2015). Modeling the Execution Process of Software Systems.
