 The educational system is a powerful tool that uses marks cards to track students’ academic progress. These cards are typically provided by universities, schools and colleges. They list the grades of students for all courses completed in a given time period. Mark cards can now be accessed online via student portals thanks to modern technology. This digital form helps schools to track students’ progress more efficiently (Hogbin, 2019).   Teachers can also use mark cards to track student progress and provide an incentive to students to do better. Students are motivated to work harder and get better grades if they receive a high grade (Gere 2016). According to a recent study by National Education Association, 58% felt warmth, pride and accomplishment upon seeing their marks cards.   The main function of marking cards is to assess and evaluate student performance.
