Recent years have seen a rise in antibiotic resistance in bacteria. This has made it a serious health issue. Penicillin resistance is a characteristic of bacteria that makes it difficult for certain infections to be treated. The overuse of and misuse of antibiotics as well as the creation of resistant bacteria and the transmission of resistance genes among bacteria can all contribute to this phenomenon. Overuse and misusing antibiotics are two of the main causes of antibiotic resistant bacteria. It occurs when antibiotics become too prescribed or are used for viral infections which are not treated by antibiotics. (Liu, 2021).
