The prokaryotic domain, also known as the bacteria domain, is a branch of life on earth primarily consisting of organisms that lack a nucleus and membrane-bound organelles. Another remarkable example of prokaryotic survival is the tardigrade, a tiny organism that is capable of withstanding extremely low temperatures, dehydration, and even the vacuum of space (Wang et al., 2018).
