Abstract Data Types, or ADTs, are useful for organizing data in a structured and efficient way. ADTs can be defined by users as abstract concepts which represent relationships between operations and data objects. ADTs are user-definable objects that can be used to represent the relationship between data objects and operations. This is done by using a similar model, structure, operation, and other details depending on the problem. (El-Mallakh 2015). ADTs offer flexibility because components can be swapped and reused easily, which allows for easier and faster coding (Santos 2002). The essay will show you how to create mock-ups of three ADT objects by using high-level features and functionality.   A Car object is the first ADT. This object will include fields such as year, make, model and color. The operations which will be built into this object will be to start the car, change the car’s color, and increase/decrease speed.   A second ADT is an Airline object. The object’s fields will include airline name, date and departure times, date and arrival times, as well as the number of available seats. This object can be used to add or remove passengers, alter departure/arrival times and change destinations.   A Book object is the third ADT. It will contain fields like title, author, publication date, ISBN, page count, and copy count. The associated operations can modify the title, author and publication year. You also have the option to change pages or increase/ decrease copies.   ADTs allow objects to easily be interchanged and reused by users.
