Setting up Alternate TCP/IP properties

Properly configuring Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol is essential for clients to establish reliable network connections. This page contains the Alternate Configuration page. You can use it for many purposes. An alternate configuration, for example, allows a client to choose the best network from multiple IP addresses. This provides flexible network management (Rouse 2021). If the device is unable to obtain an auto-allocated IP address, it can set up an alternative configuration that will manually allocate an IP address. (Hodges 2015).   You can also set up multiple alternative IP configurations to allow a device work simultaneously on different networks.
