Hyperthermia is the health condition characterized by high body temperature or overheating while hypothermia occurs when body absorbs or generates less heat than it release and hence cold temperatures. The signs and symptoms of hypothermia includes shivering due to cold temperatures, slurred speech and mumbling due to coldness, slow and shallow breathing, memory loss and loss of consciousness (BioInteractive, 2020). On the other hand, the signs and symptoms of hyperthermia includes blurred vision, dizziness, low blood pressure, fatigue, headache and nausea and vomiting among others. 

When the patient has hyperthermia and the body is too hot, the glands beneath the skin hide sweat on the skin surface in order to increase heat loss through evaporation and hence bring cooling effect to the body. Sweat secretion in this case stops when the body temperatures get normal. On the other hand, when the patient is having hypothermia, the skin regulates body temperature by igniting sweat where the sweat gland releases sweat and hence cools the skin through evaporation (BioInteractive, 2020). This helps to lower internal temperatures as blood vessels under the skin gets wider and hence increasing blood flow within the skin.

The evolution of skin is dated many centuries back. In 1990s, the skin evaluation was regarded as intractable issue. The dark skin evolved along with hair loss in over 1.2 million years ago and hence the notion of ancestral dark skin to protect against the tropical sun. The importance of skin is to hold body fluids, prevent dehydration and keep harmful microbes. 

The types of skin color includes basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma.  These cancers are caused by long-term exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from sun and can be treated using surgery to remove cancer tumor. Staying away from direct sunlight and wearing protective hat and clothes can prevent skin cancer.
